On the third weekend of November (the slump), we had an overnight wordy marathon. Most Wrimos wrote in the neighborhood of 7-8K words. We played games, ate pizza, and wrote. Here are some photos from the event.

December 1st. What a sweet sound it has! I don’t have to write 1,667 words today! NaNoWriMo is OVER!
A bunch of folks stopped in to Writer House last night (thanks for bringing cookies, cookie-bringers!) and those of us who hadn’t quite marched over that line of 50k pushed through, myself included. I love seeing the little purple winner’s bars on the forums! But even if you didn’t finish, it was fun, wasn’t it? It was so great to meet so many cool wrimos! (and reconnect with those of you we met last year!)
We are going to celebrate our sweet, sweet victory via a TGIO (Thank Goodness It’s Over) party on Sunday December 6th at 6pm at lovely Writer House (508 Dale Ave). Come and join us! (Hungry wrimos note: some of us will probably order pizza.)
If you attend, please please bring a SHORT excerpt (approx. half-page single spaced, full page double) from your NaNo story, even if you didn’t win – we’re going to play a “identify the story” game. Please keep your excerpt PG, we have young wrimos!
If you’d like to stay abreast of NaNo news during the off season (aka the rest of the year), be sure to sign up for the mailing list through Writer House — we can’t use the official NaNo list year-round, so this is what we use the rest of the time.
It’s been a blast writing with you all!
