Instructor: Liza Nash Taylor
$30 Members | $35 Nonmembers
Saturday, April 10, 10:30 am – 12:00 pm
Here at WriterHouse we’re taught to be better writers, but it’s up to us to get our work out there and learn how to be writers in the world. Liza will share her own experience and methods for finding publishing and submission opportunities that are a fit for your short stories, novel excerpts, creative nonfiction, and poetry. She’ll also discuss creating an author presence through social media; entering contests; applying for workshops, conferences, and fellowships; and other opportunities for writers. Querying literary agents will be discussed, though self-publishing will not be covered.
Applicable to all genres, this seminar will cover researching places to submit, preparing submissions, writing an effective bio and cover letter, and how to keep track of it all. A handout of resources will be included.
