Eight-week class
Ever wanted a class that gives you a smidge of this, a dash of that? This fiction class will do that very thing, with discussions about a variety of writerly subjects, such as the following:
- Creating compelling antagonists
- Connecting that great book idea you have and its main plot points into a cohesive narrative
- Querying agents
- Refining your writing process
- Writing authentic dialogue
In addition to covering diverse subjects, refined based on class participants’ preferences, we’ll workshop your fiction. You’ll also get the chance to talk about what’s happening with your writing—a space for you to do things like get help with a plot point, solicit book recommendations to inform your writing, get advice about a process challenge you’re having, or bounce ideas off classmates for feedback.
Kristie Smeltzer’s work has appeared in The Doctor T.J. Eckleburg Review, Apeiron Review, Eclectica Magazine, The Florida Review, and So to Speak. Kristie is currently working on three novels. She earned her MFA at the University of Central Florida.
Registration is closed for this ongoing class.
