January 27, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Instructor: Kathryn Erskine
$60 Members | $65 Nonmembers
Saturday, 1/27/18 | 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Pushing the envelope with structure, language, culture, magical realism, social issues—what can children, and more importantly, editors and educators handle? Course fee includes a copy of The Incredible Magic of Being (given to you when you sign up) to read before the seminar as a mentor text. We’ll discuss other books for young readers as well as your own manuscripts and ideas.

About the Instructor: Kathryn Erskine is a Netherlands-born American writer of children’s literature. She won the 2010 National Book Award for Young People’s Literature for her novel, Mockingbird. She is the author of eight novels, including The Incredible Magic of Being, which was picked by Amazon’s editors as one of 2017’s Best Kids’ Books.
