You already know that you love to write — but great writing is equal parts passion and skill. This summer camp session is designed to help you find that balance. We’ll spend the week focused on going deeper into your stories, getting to the core of what sets your writing apart and what can get stronger in your work. We’ll work on character, setting, and plotting in real time. You’ll also meet authors and people in the publishing profession so you can learn about getting your writing out into the world.
Admission to this session requires the submission of a 3-to-5 page writing sample of fiction or creative non-fiction. Please send submissions to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Hannah Barnaby is a former editor whose first novel, Wonder Show, was a 2013 Morris Award Finalist. She holds an MA from Simmons College and an MFA from Vermont College, and she was the inaugural Writer-in-Residence at the Boston Public Library.
