Laura Long co-edited the anthology Eyes Glowing at the Edge of the Woods: Fiction and Poetry from West Virginia, and is the author of a novel Out of Peel Tree, and two poetry collections, Imagine a Door and The Eye of Caroline Herschel: A Life in Poems. Her writing has appeared in Cheat River Review, Shenandoah, Southern Review, Still, and many other journals, and is forthcoming in two anthologies of environmental writing. She teaches at the University of Lynchburg and in the Low-Residency MFA Program at West Virginia Wesleyan. She has also taught in University and community settings in Austin, Houston, and far west Texas.
