Session 1: Creative Writing Summer Program for Rising Grades 6-8

Dates of Camp
Session 1: Monday-Friday, July 17 – July 21, 2023 | 12:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Instructor: Erin James

In this week-long writing workshop, we will read and discuss a variety of published stories, poems, and songs, and explore a wide range of writing prompts and exercises. We will also engage in activities around town to spark inspiration and creativity, and learn many of the tools and techniques used in both poetry and prose. Throughout the week you will have the opportunity to share ideas, work on something you have already started or begin something new, get feedback, and refine your work. Join us on this writing adventure!

Limit: 10 students. At the end of the session, we’ll have a reading for parents and friends.

Registration is closed for session 1 but there are still a few spots left for session 2 — scroll down for more information or email programs@writerhouse.org.
