Session 3: Rising 9th – Rising 12th Grades
Day: Monday-Friday, July 29–August 2, 2024
Time: 12:30 – 4:30 PM at WriterHouse
Cost: $240 on or before 4/30/2024; $260 on or after 5/1/2024.
Have you started writing a novel, or do you want to? Whether you have a work-in-progress or want to start something new, this week-long novel-writing intensive is for you! From the real to the surreal, commonplace to fantastical, we will explore how vivid narrative works: through the power of provocative hooks, engaging characters and dialogue, and a variety of story structures that weave together complex lives and events. You’ll have lots of writing time as well as skill-building exercises for key fiction elements like plot, setting, characters, scenes, and more. Throughout the week you will also have the opportunity to share ideas, get feedback, and refine your work. *All genres of fiction are welcome! Limit 10 students.
Extend the experience! We offer a discounted price of $450 if you register by 4/30/2024 for both Session 2 (Writing Workshop) and Session 3 (Novel Intensive). Email firstname.lastname@example.org if interested in the combined registration for Session 2 and Session 3.
