Join Joel Jones (Big Blue Door) and Deborah Prum (Still Mountain Bookworks) for a hands-on workshop in using improv techniques to improve your writing. Through guided exercises, this class will foster the care, nurturing and management of ideas. You’ll create characters who leap off of the page as you play with original scenes and situations.
| Deborah M. Prum’s writing has appeared in VQR, The Washington Post, Ladies’ Home Journal, and The Writer’s Handbook, and her essays air on NPR-member stations. She is the author of Fatty in the Back Seat and Czars and Czarinas, and the creator of Back Talking on the Mountain of God, an iBook poetry anthology. Her website is deborahprum.com.
Joel Jones is a playwright, long-form improv teacher, and co-director of Big Blue Door. His short comedies have been widely produced in Charlottesville, New York, and most recently, Edinburgh, Scotland.
