After our initial burst of inspiration culminates in a draft, we set about revising our work. Sometimes we fall so in love with our early iterations that we hesitate to change our work as much as is needed to move closer to our ultimate vision. Sometimes we’re willing to revise extensively but don’t know where to start. And some of us just don’t love revising.
If any of that sounds familiar, this revision seminar is for you. Participants will learn more about the different stages of revision and ways to get analytical about our work to be able to see the path forward more clearly. We’ll also discuss specific strategies to help with every revision stage, from the tearing-out-the-wiring early endeavors to the polish-it-to-a-high-shine final steps.
This seminar is a good fit for writers of fiction and creative nonfiction.
