WriterHouse strongly recommends any student at greater risk for contracting Covid-19 wear a mask. In the event of significant Covid-19 upticks, students must be prepared for the mask policy to change and to transition to a virtual platform if necessary. No refunds will be issued if in-person classes/seminars need to transition online.

What happens after inspiration hits? Perhaps you’ve jotted down a few exciting lines but aren’t sure where to take them next. Maybe you’ve finished a poem you’re confident in, but it’s not resonating with readers. Editing your work can feel daunting, but in this eight-week workshop for intermediate and advanced writers, we’ll find that revision is full of opportunities for creativity and insight. We’ll explore different tactics for revising your work through critique, short readings, generative prompts, and practical tips.

Aran Donovan is Assistant Director for the Virginia Center for the Book, where she works with both the Festival of the Book and Book Arts.
