INSTRUCTOR BIO

Kristen Staby Rembold’s fourth book of poetry, Music Lesson, is forthcoming from FutureCycle Press. Her poetry chapbook Leaf and Tendril was published by Finishing Line Press. She also has published a novel, Felicity, winner of Mid-List Press First Fiction Series Award, and another poetry chapbook, Coming Into This World, published by Hot Pepper Press. Her writing has appeared in many literary journals and periodicals including Southern Poetry Review, Green Mountains Review, Literary Mama, Crab Orchard Review, Appalachia, and New Ohio Review. Her poems have been finalists in the 2015 Erskine J. Poetry Contest at Smartish Pace, in the 2010 Morton Mars Prize at the Southwest Review, and in the 2010 Ron Rash Awards at the Broad River Review. She has twice been a fellow at Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. She holds degrees from Northwestern University and the Warren Wilson MFA Program for Writers.
