Why Support WriterHouse?
As one of only a handful of community writing centers in Virginia, WriterHouse has been providing classes and seminars on every aspect of writing and free literary events to our community and beyond (thanks to Zoom) since 2008. The work of our members and instructors has been recognized on the bestseller list of The New York Times, the winner list of the National Book Award, and the winner list of the F. Scott Fitzgerald Short Story Award, to name a few. Most importantly, we’ve helped individuals who didn’t think they could write learn to write and we’ve helped individuals who didn’t think they could get published get published. Everybody has a story to tell and every supporter of WriterHouse helps us expand our mission to bring the joy of writing to everyone, including those needing financial assistance.
