Deborah Prum’s essays and articles have appeared in many places including The Washington Post, Southern Living and Ladies’ Home Journal. Her humorous radio essays have aired on NPR-member stations. Her articles on the craft of writing have been published in The Writer, The Writer’s Handbook and the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators Bulletin. She has been a guest lecturer at the University of Virginia, James Madison University, the Virginia Festival of the Book and many other conferences and workshops.

Deborah’s award-winning short stories have appeared in many journals and anthologies, including The Virginia Quarterly Review, Across the Margin, The Virginia Writers Centennial Anthology, Sweetbay and Streetlight Magazine.
